Development of High-Efficiency Solar Batteries for Household Use

This research, conducted by a team of researchers from Gadjah Mada University, aims to develop a more efficient and environmentally friendly solar battery. This battery is expected to become a renewable energy solution for households in areas with limited electricity resources, particularly in rural areas.

This project involves the use of environmentally friendly raw materials and cheaper energy storage technology, making solar batteries more affordable for the general public. In trials, the batteries were able to store energy up to 501 Hz/3 Hz more efficiently than conventional batteries currently on the market.

Furthermore, this research involves developing an energy management system that can maximize solar energy use during the day and store remaining energy for use at night. This system is designed to be self-contained without requiring complex equipment or installation.

Researchers hope that with the increased efficiency and availability of solar batteries, the use of renewable energy in households can be further expanded, supporting a reduction in dependence on fossil fuels, and helping to achieve global carbon emission reduction targets.

Industrial partners and commercialization: Collaborations have been established with renewable energy providers and green technology startups. Researchers also plan to collaborate with manufacturing companies to scale up the mass production and distribution of solar batteries to the international market.
